The API-first principle

API & Webhooks

The Smarda API is the centerpiece of a modern, scalable system. Smarda was developed as a REST API from the very beginning – every function and feature you find in our shop system is directly accessible via the API. This means:

  • Complete control over your shop data
  • Complete flexibility to create your own backend or frontend
  • Easily implement automations, exactly the way you want

The Smarda API offers limitless possibilities for your online shop! The API was developed as a powerful and fully accessible REST API, giving you more control and flexibility than any other solution on the market.

Instead of being limited to standard solutions, you can design your backend and frontend exactly the way you want, easily implement automations, and customize your processes down to the last detail. And thanks to real-time webhook integration, you can respond instantly to customer actions – from orders and product updates to new registrations.

For developers

How to use the API

You can access the Smarda API through the developer section of our help center, which we call the Developer Center. It provides all the resources and tools you need to get started quickly.

Real-time notifications

Events with webhooks

With Smarda webhooks, you can respond to events in your shop, such as orders, product updates, or new customer registrations. Webhooks send real-time notifications to your external systems or applications as soon as a defined event occurs.

  1. Step 1

    Select a webhook event

Choose from a list of available events, such as order confirmation, product changes, or customer registration.

  2. Step 2

    Configure the URL

Enter the URL of your system or endpoint where the webhook data should be sent.

  3. Step 3

    Authentication and security

Make sure your webhook URL is secure and, if necessary, add an authentication mechanism to protect webhook delivery.

  4. Step 4

    Test

Test your webhooks and make sure the data is processed correctly.
